Even the cold winter doesn't stop the people of Skerries from having a good time, every December there is the traditional turning on of the Christmas lights coupled up with a visit from Santa Claus. The whole village is lit up and many shops join in the fun, decorating their storefronts with beautiful lights and decorations.
